When someone asks you what you do, what are the first words out of your mouth?
I have been known to open meetings with this very question… How many first impressions do you get? The answer will never change… Only one, so be prepared to respond with confidence, clarity and be memorable.
The best approach is to consider yourself to be in an elevator… 20 – 60 seconds is all you will have to capture their attention and start a meaning full conversation.
Work to develop your Elevator Pitch. Identify unique ways to communicate what you do. If you pump gas, what sounds more fun and would cause more conversation?
